Stuff. And Time for More Credit Where it's Due.
I realized several days ago that it's been a long time since I posted anything here. It hasn't been because I've lost any (more) interest in the game. It's mainly because of a major schedule change that's provided me less time to play CoH and less attention to devote to writing about it. Recognizing this adjustment, I'm going to make an effort to post more, even if it's only minor commentary, not full blown game critiques/suggestions. I'll try to keep it worthwhile.
First off, the Unexpected. Yay! My original supergroup leader, who decided a few months ago to leave CoH, suddenly reappeared last week. He was the single unifying force of the group, and it's good to have him back. Less time for the 30's group, but I'll make the time.
Lastly, I helped Rob with a Sky Raiders mission last night... "Rescue the Ambassador" or somesuch. I was expecting the standard "rescue X hostages" style mission, but found a better-thought-out-than-most mission in which some of the hostages, once rescued, grab guns and help you recover the ambassador. Once you've got him, you and your little brigade escort him to safety. It felt refreshingly realistic compared to the normal tired missions. To the developers/programmers who went the extra mile for this one, bravo.

I also add my appreciation for this mission, it would have been better to add an ambush at the end near the door , but all in all I agree, bravo. Rob
